Global Lead

Keynote Speaker at the Breakout Session 1B CAPACITY BUILDING & G.A.P.
Wednesday, 28 September, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

Since 2009, she has managed IFC food safety programs in Eastern Europe and Central Asia and is currently leading IFC’s Global Food Safety Advisory Platform, which supports IFC investment clients while building local capacity and awareness in emerging markets.

Over the past three years, IFC has trained over 200 farmers and Preferred Farm Assurers on GlobalG.A.P. in Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria, and Kosovo.  Sarah is particularly proud of the partnerships IFC has formed with major retailers and processors in the region to help their suppliers meet GLOBALG.A.P. requirements.

A native of West Virginia, USA, Sarah has lived in 10 countries and currently resides with her family in Belgrade, Serbia.  She holds a BA from Tufts University and an MBA from IESE in Barcelona.

Audits, Training, and Certification are important but it is now time to take it to the next level and talk about how we will achieve a G.A.P. Culture.
