Martin Hofstede joined the GLOBALG.A.P. Board in 2013. As Managing Director of CLAMA, an international food trading company, but also as Business Manager he would like to guide GLOBALG.A.P. to meet high and sound financial and operational standards. As supplier to retail his goal is to push for global recognition of the certification efforts all producers undertake.
The consequently ongoing development of the GLOBALG.A.P. aquaculture standard and its instruments as well as the clear communication of all activities and aims towards the consumer has to be pushed ahead with priority. With this in mind, Martin Hofstede supported the launch of the first GLOBALG.A.P. consumer label in aquaculutre ‚GGN.ORG’ in April 2016. The new label and online portal with the farm search based on the GLOBALG.A.P. number printed on the consumer product, the GGN is the key for transparent communication from consumers to farms.
