Kari-Anne has over 20 years of experience from the fishing and fish farming industry in Norway. In addition, she has been a Lead Auditor with accredited Certification Body for 20 years. She has comprehensive consultancy and training experience in quality and environmental management systems, food safety systems, risk assessment (HACCP) and auditing for several food factories and governmental institutions as well as companies in Africa. She is currently the Managing Director of Essentia, directly involved in development of standards in the fish and fish farming industry. She is the leader of the Norwegian Mirror Committee under ISO TC 234 and a member of the Norwegian Technical Committee under GLOBALG.A.P.
Kari-Anne holds a Master’s degree in Fisheries Science from the University of Tromsø. Her degree combines biological, technological, social and business-related subjects followed by at least 18 months of practical experience from the fishing industry.
